Elegant European Inspiration

Every so often in life you get a “pinch me” moment. Well, this styled shoot I designed alongside photographer, Anya Kernes, was one of those moments in life for me. Ever since I started my company almost 5 years ago, I’d spend hours upon hours thinking of what my brand should exude and what type of images I wanted out there in the world to best exemplify my style. I’ve done styled wedding shoots in the past but this one was by far my favorite.

All of my design dreams came to life. Soft muted tones, classic design with European flair. I imagined a villa in Tuscany or a chateau in France when designing this theme. Elements of grandeur but with sweet vintage accents was the tone I was going for. When Anya reached out to me to ask if I’d collaborate with her and she gave me a color palette she was hoping to use I knew it was a perfect fit! The soft cool tones of blues and grays is right up my alley and what I designed my branding after. Those colors bring about such a calmness that is just so elegant and romantic for weddings.

We both worked to get such a great team on board and everyone’s work came together so beautifully and so in line with my vision. As usual, I like to make some elements myself so I bought some cotton gauze at the fabric store and hand-dyed the table runner used as well as some of the ribbons in the bridal bouquet. Anya’s fine art photography style was so perfect and she captured the essence of this day so beautifully.

Recently, this shoot was featured on Elizabeth Ann Designs. You can see the full feature here.

Here’s a few fun “behind the scenes” images from that day.

Thanks to the amazing vendors who all worked so hard on this shoot. Leslie, from Rebelle Fleurs impressed me so much. I didn’t give her much direction other than the color palette and general vibe and she absolutely nailed it. I had to pick my jaw off the floor when I saw her put together the bouquet on the spot. It is TO. DIE. FOR. The furniture from Sweet Salvage Rentals were that perfect mix of vintage elegance and the lounge vignette we created I wish I could have in my home! As for the attire? I had been eyeing for months those killer booties by Joy Proctor for Bella Belle shoes. To say I’m obsessed is putting it lightly and they worked so well with the flowing chiffon gown from Floravere.
