I have worked in the events industry for 14 years and have owned Louise & Third for 11 years. I first worked for a caterer, then in corporate events, and currently designs invitations and other stationery for my couples, thanks to my graphic design skills and partnership with my sister's print company.
I was born and raised in Maryland. After receiving my Bachelor's degree in apparel design, I worked for 2 years as a bridal stylist and then made the cross country move in 2007 to work in the entertainment industry as a wardrobe stylist/costumer. With over 6 years of styling experience under my belt on countless commercials, print shoots, and an Emmy nominated show, I decided to turn my 'on-trend' knowledge to events.
Making sure the overall feel of an event reflects the client's wishes and personality is my number one priority. I'm not only be your planner, but your guide, confidant, wedding bestie, and Fairy Godmother (as called by a former client!).
When I'm not busy planning, you can find me in "mom mode" doting on my two sweet (but wild) boys, Wesley and Logan, listening to Taylor Swift's newest album, and immersing myself in home improvement projects. I'm also passionate about travel, the environment, animals, inclusion, and women's rights.
Meet Megan
It is my grandmother, Martha Louise, who is the namesake of Louise & Third. It's a middle name that was passed down then to my mother, Susan Louise, and now to myself, Megan Louise.
It’s an honor to be a part of a family tradition by being the third Louise so I've chose to dedicate the name of my company after such strong women and role models in my life.
