This past fall we had the honor of sponsoring an event industry appreciation party at the new Pasea Hotel & Spa located in Huntington Beach. The hotel wanted to show off their alternate event space, called The Blue Room, to fellow wedding industry professionals. The room is modern and sleek with a cool city beach vibe. We used all of their existing furniture and added in some fun fall decor to keep in line with the season. Guests enjoyed the photo booth, DJ, food stations, bar, ice cream cart, and had great conversation into the evening by the venue’s patio fire pits. It was an overall success!!

Chris and Hannah got married at Tiato, in Santa Monica. An industrial designed restaurant with a beautiful courtyard, filled with succulents and other plants. A great mix of rustic and urban! The couple wanted to infuse some personal touches to their wedding, such as naming each table after a city the couple had visited together. We created a map of the US for the seating chart to show guests which “city” they were assigned to. They also wanted to keep with the vibe of the restaurant itself, and since it’s already decorated so interestingly, we didn’t have to add too much to make a statement! Sometimes, less is more! It was the perfect laid-back vibe they were going for and everyone had such a fun night with VOX DJs spinning great music.

For traditional brides, a white wedding gown is a no-brainer. But, we’re seeing more and more brides departing from tradition when it comes to their attire and embracing some color. Blush or champagne is probably the more common color outside of white or ivory, but gray, blue, and gold are great alternatives too! It doesn’t have to be bold or dark, but you should have fun with what you wear and wear something that speaks to your style and personality. Below is a group of gowns that we just LOVE!

Stephanie & Dennis got married at one of our favorite LA venues, Bel Air Bay Club. We lucked out with great weather in February, not too hot, not too cold. The outdoor ceremony began with a Hawaiian tradition of blowing of a conch shell, performed by the Groom’s cousin. Using ocean colors of blue and white, the couple kept the tropical theme throughout their wedding with a surfboard guest book and centerpieces of floating orchids with banana leaves and seashells.

Sharlene and Ian’s nuptials were held at a friend’s private home in Los Feliz. An intimate crowd gathered around the couple before they made their big move as a new couple to live in Brazil, where Ian’s new job was located. The wedding had many Latin American influences to honor the bride’s heritage such as a guitarist for the ceremony, Dia de Los Muertos themed decor, and food from their favorite restaurant, Guelaguetza. Guests dined on the property’s back patio and sipped cocktails under the stars all night.

We rang in 2016 with a wedding at one of our dream venues, Rancho Las Lomas, located in Silverado, California. It’s a resort and zooligocal garden nestled in the hills of eastern Orange County, and has not only cute bungalows where you can stay overnight, but is also home to exotic animals like tigers, zebras, and macaws!
